Taking apart a Singer Inspiration 4212…?
I have a brand new Singer Inspiration 4212 sewing machine. I got a piece of fabric jammed, and was forced to pull rather hard to get it to release. This threw off my timing. I have a very good idea of how to reset the timing, but I really need to get inside and look at how everything is set up to get a clear view of what I’m doing. The machine is a two piece plastic body. All the screws I can see are out, but there’s still something holding it together.. does anyone know what that would be and how I take this machine apart? Thanks.
Note: I’m absolutely aware of the risk in taking my machine apart, the possibility of voiding warranty and all that, but I really want to learn how to service it myself. No worries about encouraging me to break the thing.. I just want to learn and don’t really care about the money at this point. I despise the notion that anyone designs a machine in such a way as to force a consumer to pay for services when they could learn to do it themselves.
